Rye and Sound Shore Wedding Band

A live wedding band for the Long Island Sound side of Westchester, from Pelham and New Rochelle to Mamaroneck, Rye and Port Chester.

Inquire About Your Date

Westchester's Sound Shore is the string of towns facing Long Island Sound: Pelham, New Rochelle, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Rye and Port Chester. Weddings here are drawn to the water. Beach clubs, yacht clubs and old mansions sit on the shoreline, and in New Rochelle one short stretch of Davenport Avenue holds four waterfront venues.

Our New York team plays the Sound Shore as part of its regular Westchester work, with no out-of-town travel fees for most locations. Across the water on Long Island's North Shore, we have performed at Water's Edge in Centerport.

Wedding venues around Rye and the Sound Shore

Waterfront venues along the Sound, from Rye's castle to the mansions of Davenport Avenue:

Whitby Castle

Rye

A stone castle at Rye Golf Club, inspired by England's Whitby Abbey, on 126 acres beside the Sound. It hosts one event at a time for up to 250 guests, with lawn or indoor ceremonies and cocktails on a patio facing the water.

The Surf Club on the Sound

New Rochelle

A beachfront mansion on Davenport Avenue with landscaped grounds and fountains, a marble staircase and crystal chandelier at the entrance, and views straight out over Long Island Sound.

Davenport Mansion

New Rochelle

A 19th-century mansion, recently renovated, that books one event a day. Ceremonies and cocktails go on a terrace facing the water, then dinner moves to a marble-floored ballroom.

Greentree Country Club

New Rochelle

A family-run club in a building designed by Stanford White, with a private beach and an ivy-covered pergola. Ceremonies happen steps from the Sound, and receptions use the Grand Ballroom or the Classic Room.

VIP Country Club

New Rochelle

A waterfront venue on Davenport Avenue with panoramic views of the Sound, outdoor patios, a ceremony pergola and two ballrooms, East and West.

Hampshire Country Club

Mamaroneck

A private club on the Sound with an 18-hole course and dining rooms for weddings and private events. It is mainly for members and their guests, so ask about its policies early.

Planning a wedding in Rye and the Sound Shore

Vows in the breeze

A terrace or lawn on the Sound makes a beautiful setting for vows and a windy one for sound. We bring a full PA system, set up by our own engineer two hours ahead, and an officiant microphone is available as an add-on so the back row hears every word.

Four venues on one avenue

The Surf Club, the Davenport Mansion, Greentree and VIP Country Club all sit on Davenport Avenue, each on its own piece of shoreline. You can tour two or three in an afternoon. Ask each how many events it runs that day; Whitby Castle and the Davenport Mansion host only one at a time.

Trains, I-95 and Connecticut guests

Most Sound Shore towns have a station on Metro-North's New Haven Line, and I-95 runs the length of the shore, so guests from the city and from Connecticut have an easy trip. The Surf Club runs its beach club from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and summer Saturdays on the water are the first to go.

Rye and the Sound Shore wedding band questions

We're choosing between venues on Davenport Avenue. What changes for the band?

What we bring stays the same: a full PA, a sound engineer on site two hours early, an emcee for every announcement and continuous music from start to finish. What changes is the room, and we plan the setup and load-in around each venue's layout.

Can we add a horn section for a ballroom on the Sound?

Yes. Trumpet, trombone and tenor saxophone can join the core seven-piece, which already carries a saxophone, and you can add electric violin or a second vocalist too, up to eleven musicians.

What does our venue need from the band ahead of time?

Usually the timeline and our insurance. We go over the timeline with you on a planning call about a month out, and we provide a certificate of insurance that meets the venue's requirements.
