Live Music for Private Parties

Milestone birthdays, anniversaries and every reason to gather, with live music sized to your room in Pittsburgh, New York and beyond.

Check Your Date

A private party has one audience: the people you love most, in a room you chose. The music has to work for all of them at once, from the friends who will dance until the lights come up to the relatives who came for the toast and the cake.

We build the music around the guest of honor. Tell us the decade they grew up in, the songs that mark their story and the size of the room, and we put together the right lineup, from Eddie and Gabby as a duo to the full band.

Every booking comes with a sound engineer who arrives early, an emcee for the moments that matter, and a set list built from your requests. Your only job is to enjoy the party.

Every kind of celebration

Every party has its own guest list and its own soundtrack.

Milestone birthdays

A 40th, a 60th, a 90th. We lean on the decades the guest of honor loves most, and the emcee makes sure the toasts and the cake land at the right moment.

Anniversaries

From the songs at the first dance to the ones that carried the years since. Renewing your vows? Add a ceremony musician for the vows themselves.

Engagement parties

The first celebration of the wedding season. A duo keeps the room warm while two families meet, or the full band turns it into a preview of the reception.

Graduations

One room, three generations. Music that keeps the graduate's friends on the floor and still reaches the grandparents at their table.

Holiday parties at home

A living room, a finished basement, a heated tent in the yard. The duo fits where a full band would not, with the standards and sing-alongs the season calls for.

Reunions

Family reunions and class reunions, where the music has to take everyone back to the same years at once.

The right size for your room

Three ways to book us, and what comes with every one.

Eddie & Gabby, The Duo

For smaller rooms and dinner parties. Every decade from the fifties to now and every genre from Motown to country to hip-hop to pop, from two performers who can make a living room feel like a show.

DJ Hybrid

The in-between option. A DJ anchors the night while live musicians play through the crowd: electric violin, saxophone, guitar, lead vocals, or any combination.

Your Playlist, the full band

For the big bash. Seven to eleven musicians, fully live with no pre-recorded tracks. Add horns, electric violin or a second vocalist and the sound grows with the lineup.

An emcee for the big moments

The toasts, the cake, the surprise guest, the slideshow. Gabby and Eddie emcee, so every moment happens when you planned it.

Your songs, learned

After you book, our Music Form collects your artists, decades, genres and must-plays, and your set list is built from it. We always learn special requests.

Pittsburgh, New York and beyond

Pittsburgh and New York are home, and we travel for the right party, handling our own travel, gear and setup.

Planning music for a private party

Four things worth deciding before you book anyone.

Start with the room

The space and the guest count decide the lineup. Tell us where the party is, how many are coming and the feel you want, and we will recommend the size that fits.

List the moments

Toasts, a surprise, the cake, a family song, the first song you want people dancing to. Your emcee works from that list, so write it down.

Check power and neighbors at home

A house party needs a clear spot for the musicians, outlets close by and a plan for the volume. When space is tight, the duo is the easy answer.

Choose the look

Black suits and black gowns are our standard. Planning a theme, a decade night or a holiday party? Ask, and we will dress to match.

With every booking

Whatever size you choose, these come standard.

Private party questions

What size band do we need for a private party?

It depends on the room and the guest count. The duo suits a home or a small private room, the DJ Hybrid works for the space in between, and the full band of 7 to 11 pieces is built for a big bash. Tell us about the party and we will recommend the fit.

Can you play a party at our home?

It depends on the space. Send us a description of the room or the yard, the guest count and where the outlets are, and we will tell you what fits. For tighter spaces, the duo is usually the answer.

Will you handle the toasts and announcements?

Yes. An emcee is included in every package, and Gabby and Eddie emcee. About a month before the party we go over the timeline on a call, and on the day of the party one of them meets you or your planner beforehand to confirm every announcement.

Can you play music from the guest of honor's era?

Absolutely. The duo alone covers every decade from the fifties to now, and every set list is built from your Music Form. Tell us the songs that matter and we will learn any we do not already play.

Are you insured for restaurants and private venues?

Yes. We are fully insured and provide a certificate of insurance that meets your venue's requirements, with a copy of our policy on request.

Do you travel for private parties?

Yes. Our New York team plays throughout New Jersey, Long Island, Connecticut, Westchester and the Hamptons, with no out-of-town travel fees for most locations, and we travel farther for the right celebration.

How far ahead should we book?

As soon as you have a date. Popular dates go early, especially in peak season, and if yours is open we will hold it while you finalize the details.
