Water's Edge is a new Gold Coast venue at 445 East Main Street in Centerport, on Long Island's North Shore. Centerport took its name from its central spot in Huntington, and the venue is about 50 minutes from New York City.
The building borrows its look from the Gatsby era and finishes it in a modern way. A white marble lobby with crystal chandeliers leads straight into the main ballroom, and custom windows along its north side keep Mill Pond in view.
The venue hosts one wedding at a time. Ceremonies can be indoors under Art Deco lighting or outside on a stone patio beneath the pergola, and an outdoor ceremony moves inside if the weather turns. The bride's suite has a private deck over the water, and the groom's suite has leather seating and a card table.

Planning your night at Water's Edge
Pergola or indoors
An outdoor ceremony on the patio needs a fallback inside. We set the ceremony musician for the pergola and keep the indoor ceremony area ready, so a weather call doesn't stall the day.
Cocktails indoors and out
The Willow Room opens to the garden, so cocktail hour can run inside and out at once. Our complimentary cocktail-hour musician plays where your guests gather, and we can add players if you want music in both places.
A song for the room
The Summerwind Ballroom is named for the Frank Sinatra song. If you want 'Summer Wind' for a first dance or a dinner set, we will learn it for you.
Close to home
Centerport sits on the North Shore, well within our New York team's Long Island coverage, and we charge no out-of-town travel fees for most locations here. See our Huntington page for other venues nearby.

Questions about Water's Edge
Have you performed at Water's Edge?
Yes. Our band has played Water's Edge in Centerport, and the video on this page shows us there.
Does Water's Edge host more than one wedding at a time?
No. The venue books one wedding at a time, so the property is yours, and our load-in and sound check never compete with another event.
What size band suits the Summerwind Ballroom?
With seating for up to 300, the ballroom has space for our biggest lineups, up to 11 musicians. For a smaller wedding in the Pondview Room, the duo or a smaller lineup may suit better.
