About Tribeca Rooftop

Tribeca Rooftop opened in 1999 at 2 Desbrosses Street, a block from Canal and Hudson Streets. It is a two-part space: a skylit indoor room under a 25-foot glass atrium, and an outdoor rooftop with a view of One World Trade Center and the river.

A recent renovation doubled its size. The work added a wraparound quartz bar more than 60 feet long, custom Italian drop lights and a 2,000-square-foot dance floor, and the venue now offers about 30,000 square feet between the room and the roof. A high ceiling with a pin spot lighting system, coat check attendants and an on-site event manager come with the space.

The same team runs two more rooms nearby: Tribeca 360° at 10 Desbrosses Street, a renovated space with panoramic city views, and The Hudson Room, on the first floor at the corner of Hudson and Canal. Catering comes from the in-house kitchen for all of them.

Planning your night at Tribeca Rooftop

AV Workshop on site

Tribeca Rooftop welcomes most outside vendors, with one exception: AV Workshop is the in-house partner every event uses. We contact them early about power, staging and how our PA and lighting sit alongside their setup.

Private entrance, attended elevators

Guests arrive through a security-attended private entrance, and the elevators are staffed. We set our load-in time with the on-site event manager so every piece of gear is upstairs before the first guest rides up.

Roof first, room ready

If the ceremony or cocktail hour is on the roof, we set the ceremony musician outside and keep a spot ready indoors, since the venue keeps weather plans for outdoor events. Moving inside then takes minutes.

Holland Tunnel traffic

The venue sits near the Holland Tunnel and tells guests to allow extra time by taxi. We plan our own arrival around that traffic.

The band at Tribeca Rooftop

"THE BEST EVER. Not only are Gabby and Eddie so easy to work with, they are extremely talented and fun. It has been two weeks since our wedding and guests are still contacting us about the band. They did not stop playing once, and the dance floor was more crowded than any other wedding, all thanks to their energy, talent, and perfect song choices."

Questions about Tribeca Rooftop

Have you performed at Tribeca Rooftop?

Yes. We have performed at Tribeca Rooftop, and when a couple uses both the roof and the room, we plan them as two setups.

Is there room for a full band?

Yes. The renovated dance floor covers 2,000 square feet and the space seats up to 400 with dancing, which leaves room for the core seven-piece plus horns or electric violin.

Can someone play on the roof during cocktails?

Yes. A complimentary musician comes with every package to cover the ceremony and cocktails, and Eddie & Gabby, The Duo, can take the roof if you want vocals with the view.
