Inquire About Your DateAbout Cipriani
Cipriani began in Venice, where Giuseppe Cipriani Sr. opened Harry's Bar in 1931 and later created the Bellini and the famous carpaccio. The family reached New York in 1985 with Harry Cipriani at Fifth Avenue and 59th Street, and in 1999 it started turning landmark buildings into event halls. Four generations of the family now stand behind the food and service.
Cipriani 42nd Street came first: the old Bowery Savings Bank, opened in 1921, a Neo-Renaissance banking hall with marble columns, inlaid floors and a 12,000-square-foot ballroom. Cipriani Wall Street, at 55 Wall Street, is a Greek Revival building that once held the Merchants' Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange and the Custom House. Its ballroom sits under a Wedgwood dome, and the smaller Club 55 rooms gather around an original bank vault.
Cipriani 25 Broadway was built for the Cunard steamship line as its American headquarters, with frescoes, marble columns and a 12,000-square-foot Great Hall. Cipriani South Street fills the Beaux Arts Battery Maritime Building on New York Harbor, with a private arrival foyer and an outdoor loggia beside its Great Hall. Cipriani lists weddings among the events its landmark venues host.

Planning your night at Cipriani
Start with the building
Each Cipriani venue is a different building with a different main room, so we plan for the one you choose: where the stage sits, how our gear reaches it and when we can start. Our list of questions to ask a wedding venue covers the rest.
Halls this tall
In three of these buildings the main ceiling rises past 50 feet, over floors of 9,000 to more than 12,000 square feet. A hall like that suits a bigger lineup, so consider horns or a second vocalist on top of the core seven-piece, and our engineer gets in two hours before guests to set the PA for a room that size.
Plan early on both sides
Cipriani suggests allowing 12 to 18 months to plan an event. Our popular dates go early too, especially in peak season, and if your date is still open we will hold it while you sort out the rest.
A second room for cocktails
Each of these venues has space beyond the main hall for gathering before dinner, such as the mezzanine on 42nd Street or the loggia at South Street. The complimentary musician included in every package plays the cocktail hour there while the band waits in the hall.
The band at Cipriani
Scaled to the room, from the duo to a full eleven-piece band.
Your Playlist
The full live band, seven to eleven pieces: lead female and male vocals, keys, guitar, bass, drums and saxophone, with horns, electric violin or a second vocalist to add.
Eddie & Gabby
The two founders, with every decade from the fifties to now. Made for cocktail hours, ceremonies and smaller rooms.
DJ Hybrid
A DJ anchors the night while live musicians move through the crowd on saxophone, electric violin, guitar or vocals.
"THE BEST EVER. Not only are Gabby and Eddie so easy to work with, they are extremely talented and fun. It has been two weeks since our wedding and guests are still contacting us about the band. They did not stop playing once, and the dance floor was more crowded than any other wedding, all thanks to their energy, talent, and perfect song choices."
