Wedding Band at Gurney's Montauk
An oceanfront resort on Old Montauk Highway, where every room looks at the Atlantic and a wedding can move from the deck to the sand.
Inquire About Your DateAbout Gurney's
Gurney's goes back to 1926, when Montauk local Maude Gurney opened a 20-unit inn by the ocean. Today Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa has 158 rooms, suites and cottages, each with an Atlantic view, and a private beach that runs about 2,000 feet.
For weddings, the resort offers about 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. The Great Hall is its seaside banquet room for large ceremonies and receptions, and the Top Deck sits above the Atlantic, with a tent that stretches the outdoor season.
Smaller spaces fill out a wedding weekend, which the resort plans from welcome drinks to a farewell brunch. The Spa Deck has pergolas over its seating areas, the Beach Club serves dinner right on the sand, and the Dune Lounge suits cocktails, a rehearsal dinner or the morning after. Guests can drive, take the Long Island Rail Road to Montauk or ride the Hampton Jitney.

Planning your night at Gurney's
Wind and salt air
Outdoor spaces on the ocean bring wind and damp air. On the Top Deck or under a tent, we plan sheltered spots for our gear, and we confirm power and an indoor fallback with the resort's team.
A weekend of music
Since a Gurney's wedding can run from welcome drinks to a farewell brunch, the music can too. Eddie & Gabby, The Duo, suit the smaller moments, such as a welcome party in the Dune Lounge, and the full band takes the main night.
The drive east
Montauk sits at the far end of the Hamptons, and even this far east our New York team works with no out-of-town travel fees for most locations. We leave ample time for the drive, so our engineer still has two full hours on site.
Vows by the water
Wind and surf compete with quiet vows outdoors. We set the ceremony sound for an open-air space, and an officiant microphone, one of our add-ons, is worth having here.
The band at Gurney's
Scaled to the room, from the duo to a full eleven-piece band.
Your Playlist
The full live band, seven to eleven pieces: lead female and male vocals, keys, guitar, bass, drums and saxophone, with horns, electric violin or a second vocalist to add.
Eddie & Gabby
The two founders, with every decade from the fifties to now. Made for cocktail hours, ceremonies and smaller rooms.
DJ Hybrid
A DJ anchors the night while live musicians move through the crowd on saxophone, electric violin, guitar or vocals.
"Eddie learned custom ceremony music and Gabby was an amazing emcee who kept the evening going in a subtle and classy way. Absolutely SLAYED."
